Welcome to the home of Novato's Fourth of July Parade! In sixteen years, we have grown from being a small local parade to what is now the second-largest parade in the North Bay.
Every year, we host 15,000–20,000 spectators and over 100 entries, ranging from classic cars to vehicles from a military museum, Irish bagpipers to Chinese drum and bell corps, basset hounds to horses. Along the parade route, you will also find food and refreshment booths, and souvenir t-shirts.
We are sponsored by the Downtown Novato Business Association (DNBA), the City of Novato, and numerous local businesses. The parade runs down the newly renovated Grant Avenue, from Reichert Avenue to 7th Street. We begin promptly at 10 AM; the last unit is usually through by 12 noon.
This year, our grand marshal is Laurence P. Dito, retired director of Parks, Recreation, & Community Services here in Novato.
